Solid Jamb
-
made from a solid piece of wood and
can be trimmed to custom jamb widths. For increased
durability, Reeb recommends using solid jambs in high
exposure areas.
Veneered Jamb -
veneer is applied to a wood core. It provides a
lower cost option for a stained finish. Width is fixed. Veneered frames
should only be used when exterior door unit is well protected from
elements (ie – covered full porch).
Solid jambs provide a stainable frame that can be trimmed for custom sized applications.
