How To Choose A Flush or Molded Door
Step 1 – Door Styles
Panel Doors
Molded doors* are constructed from hardboard fiber
material with a series of panels or designs pressed into
molds to create the door face. They are manufactured
to resemble the look of an interior stile and rail wood
door at a lower pricepoint. Solid Particle Core molded
doors are available in a variety of designs and can
replicate the heavy weight and feel of a real wood door
while providing the benefit of noise reduction for a
peaceful environment.
* Although molded doors are a popular and attractive design option, there is a unique warmth and sophistication that can only
be found in real wood. If using solid, authentic wood components is important to you, please consider asking your millwork
professional for a copy of the latest Reeb® Interior Stile and Rail Doors catalog or view it online at

Flush Doors
Flush doors are constructed using a mixture of wood and
wood-fiber components and feature a completely flat
surface for a simple and economical design option. They
are available in a variety of wood species, most of which
can be painted or stained. Some flush doors also come in
a primed hardboard or woodgrained pre-finished option.
